Carlisle USG SECUROCK Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board, 1/4 in. to 5/8 in. x 4 ft. Panels, Off White

USG SECUROCK Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board is a high-performance cover board for low-slope roofing systems, with a fiber-reinforced, homogenous composition that is strong and water-resistant through the core. It is offered here in four sizes: 1/4 in., 1/2 in. and 5/8 in. thicknesses in 4 ft. x 4 ft. or 4 ft. x 8 ft. panels, in Off White. Use it under single-ply membranes for wind uplift, hail and foot-traffic protection.

Key Features:

  • Homogeneous core: Fiber-reinforced, homogenous composition makes the panel strong and water-resistant all the way through to its core.
  • Superior adhered bond: Provides an exceptional bond and low absorption in adhered roofing systems.
  • Wind uplift strength: Achieves high wind uplift ratings with no risk of facer delamination because there is no facer to delaminate.
  • Moisture and mold resistant: The board is resistant to moisture and mold for long-term performance in low-slope roofs.
  • Hail and traffic protection: Provides protection from hail and foot traffic when adhered with insulation adhesive.
  • 97% recycled: Manufactured from 97% recycled material, combining superior performance with sustainable design.

Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk

SECUROCK is a strong choice where high wind uplift and hail resistance matter, because its through-core strength eliminates facer delamination risk common with paper-faced boards. Choose 1/2 in. or 5/8 in. for high-traffic or hail-prone roofs and keep board joints staggered from insulation joints. Adhere with a compatible insulation adhesive and let adhesive skim properly before placing boards.

Roof boards are heavy and panels have sharp edges when cut; use proper lifting technique, cut-resistant gloves and roof-edge fall protection.
