Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk

SecurTAPE is the go-to choice for field-fabricated EPDM seams where consistent splice strength matters. Roll both widths of tape firmly with a steel roller after primer flash-off to eliminate voids and air pockets. The 6 in. width is typically specified for mechanically fastened system splices, while 3 in. suits many adhered details; always follow the primer's flash-off time before pressing tape.

Use primers in ventilated areas and follow the manufacturer's safety data sheet and fire-safety precautions when working with solvent-based materials.
