Expert Verdict — Reviewed by the SuperArbor Pro Desk
Gable and rake closures are often overlooked but are critical to keeping wind-driven rain, debris and pests out of tile roof edges. Match the closure to your tile profile so wedges seat properly beneath the overlapping tiles, and plan quantities by measuring the total linear feet of rake edge per side. Install during the tile laying process rather than after the roof is complete.
Tile roof work should be performed from proper fall protection and by installers trained to walk tile without cracking field tiles.
